First Asparagus

After a week of feverish sleeping I have woke up in spring.

This morning at the farmers' market I did my best to not breathe on anyone but I kept gaping, mouth wide open, at all the new produce.

The cute guy carried the canvas bags that I filled with wild arugula blossoms, pea shoots, asparagus, blue broccoli.

There is so much good food and I have so little appetite but it's good to be on the mend.

Glad you are feeling better! Yes, our farmers' market a few miles south of you is now saturated with asparagus, tomatoes and the most delicious strawberries. Welcome spring!

So glad you're on the mend. I'm so jealous of your early Spring.

thank you for I'm a woman with very little knowledge of what is even in season so I am learning from you. yum, asparagus and strawberries...I cant wait for the Sat. market to open in Healdsburg and the fruit stand at River Road which will open in April.

Katrina,
I am also so glad you are feeling better and back to your jaunts to the farmers' markets. My mind lives through your eyes and takes each trip you so colorfully describe. I do feel spring right around the corner, it was 57 degrees today. But the only beautiful color was the blue skies spattered with pink and gray clouds. Do the hands in the photos belong to any pirates or princesses we know? Hugs to you and the cute guy.
Love, Olivia

It's a damn slow mend but I'm not complaining. I came home from work tonight with an appetite. And the cute guy cooked, which is as good as spring any day.

Olivia - That's Taylor and Sara.
