Ginger, Lemon and Honey Tea

After a few days away from home a monster bug gripped me in its steel jaws. This is one bad bugger.

Fortunately I have local ingredients for one of my favorite remedies, ginger, lemon and honey tea.

I make it by the tea pot full. Here's how -

3-5 Tbsp. Ginger
2 Lemons
1 Tsp. Honey Per Cup

Boil water.
Slice ginger (peeled or not) and add to steeping pot of water.
Squeeze lemons into tea pot.
Let sit for fifteen minutes.
Pour and add honey to taste.

The tea hasn't cured me but it does calm the bug temporarily.

Yikes! Take care of yourself! I'm just getting over a bug myself (oh how fun to have pesticide burns on top of it!). Next time, I will I'll make your tea - it sounds soothing.

LOL - of course I'm thinking, 'how do I grow ginger'?

What is that beautiful flower in the pic, btw?

Oh Katrina...this is not a good thing. I'm sending Mt. Shasta healing energy to you. The image of steel jawed bugs is not pretty. I am so sorry. I hope the cute guy is brewing your tea and taking good care of you. Did you hug Hunter? Get well.
Love, Olivia

Man, oh man! Just when you think cold and flu season is over. At least one member of my family has been sick over the last three weeks. Feel better!
